Helpful Information for Your Visit
At Meadowbrook Veterinary Clinic, we want every visit to go smoothly for you and your pet. To help you prepare, we've outlined our appointment, arrival, payment, and boarding policies below. If you have any questions about these policies, our team is happy to help before your visit.
Appointment Policy
Our veterinary clinic in South Peoria operates primarily by appointment. If you are new to our practice, please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow for paperwork and updating your pet's medical record. If you have previous medical records for your pet, you are welcome to bring them with you or have them sent to our South Peoria office before your appointment to help speed up the process.
For your convenience, we also offer drop-off appointments. A drop-off allows you to bring your pet in at a time that works for you, sign a medical treatment form, and leave your pet with our team for a few hours. Once your pet's appointment is complete, we will call you to go over our recommendations and schedule a pickup time that fits your day.
Patient Arrival Policy
For the safety and comfort of all patients, pets must be on a leash or otherwise properly controlled while in the waiting area. We offer separate check-in and waiting areas for cats and dogs so every pet feels at ease.
Payment Policy
Full payment is required at the time services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, CareCredit, cash, and personal checks.
Boarding & Grooming Policies
Current vaccinations are required for all pets boarding at our veterinary clinic in South Peoria to protect the health of every guest and to meet state kennel licensing requirements. Required vaccinations include:
- Dogs: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, and Influenza
- Cats: Rabies and FVRCP
In addition to up-to-date vaccinations, all pets must have a negative fecal test (free of intestinal parasites) prior to their boarding reservation.
All pets entering our facility must be free of external parasites, including fleas, ticks, and mites. A complimentary bath is provided for any pet staying three nights or more.
You are welcome to bring personal items for your pet's stay, such as a favorite toy or blanket. Please make sure all items are clearly labeled at drop-off.
